acetal Color: Black, Natural(White)

Acetalis a polyoxymethylene (POM) compound resin or homopolymer acetal, that is resistant to liquids, self-lubricating, and has low coefficient of friction characteristics. These traits make Acetal well-suited for bushing and bearing replacements, particularly in corrosive environments. Acetal sheets and rods have many of the same characteristics of industrial metals such as brass, aluminum, zinc, and stainless steel. Some of the comparable properties of Acetal include stiffness, dimensional stability, impact resistance, and structural strength. Other characteristics include: lightweight, low friction and wear resistant plastic capable of withstanding working temperatures of 200°F (90°C). Acetal is also FDA approved for use in the food industry and features a slightly higher tensile & flexular properties than acetal copolymer. Used in: Food industry, bushing & bearing replacements; also meets the following specifications: FDA, NSF, USDA & 3A Dairy approved, Also meets ASTM D6778.
